Object Name Dress
Description Floor length, sleeve-less, black taffeta dress with red eyelet embroidered design overall. Eyelets are 6-6.5 cm apart. The snug-fitting bodice has five layers of gathering which extend over the shoulders and forms a v-shape in front. Sewn into the waist is another overlay of material that falls over both hips to the back and is attached to dress center-back with 14 tucks. Over these tucks are twelve taffeta covered buttons. The skirt is rather flared in front but more so towards the back. The dress closing consists of twenty-four small taffeta covered buttons enclosed by black taffeta loops. There is a center seam down the front and midway down the center back Halfway down the dress back the material is cut on the bias to allow for more flare. Dress is a small size that would fit a slighter woman.
