Object Name Blouse
Description Black, silk blouse with narrow vertical tucks at front, back and sleeves. Tucks at shoulders produce full puffy 3/4 sleeves. Sleeve armband is 5.5 cm wide with a 13 cm scalloped edge, dot pattern fine net ruffle with flower-pattern embroidery along edge. Front of bodice has black section coming down from shoulders to waist, in a v--shape. Inserted into v-shape is a cream-coloured section of vertical tucked silk, with three folds each side of center, overlapping at center waistline. Blouse closes over left shoulder seam continuing down the left seam, from underarm to waist, with metal hook and eye closures. Blouse bodice is fully lined with grey cotton fabric. Eleven straps, 18 cm long, are sewn vertically around bottom of blouse on inside. Lining has thirteen hook and eye closures down center front. V-shape at front and across back, around shoulders, is trimmed with band of black sequins.
