Roughly square paper transportation ticket with corners trimmed. Entered as "chit" in accession book. Note: No original catalogue form found. The ticket has the inscription "1s/6d" elegantly hand-written in black ink on the front, and a note underneath the numbers that says "Please give this ticket to the master." There is another inscription in the top lefthand corner in purple ink: "Lundi, 5 1/2" and something crossed out. 'Lundi' is French for Monday. The watermark of the paper, or some sort of stamp, is visible. It appears to say "E. MONTO---" (the paper is cut off there). |
